Fermented Evenings at the Niagara Historical Museum

Fermented Evenings is a series of three events taking place in February at the Niagara Historical Museum (43 Castlereagh St., Niagara-on-the-Lake). The first two nights in the series will focus on wine, and the third night will feature beer, as detailed below:
On Saturday, February 11, the Museum will host Bill Nesbitt for “The Battle of the Beers: Lager vs. Ale”. Nesbitt explores the history of brewing in Upper Canada and takes us though a sensory delight with tastings of some of Ontario’s microbrews that resemble those of the 19th century. Nesbitt is the former curator of the Dundurn Castle Museum and current Museum Advisor for the Ministry of Culture. This is his third year as part of Fermented Evenings. The night will include tastings of 8 Ontario microbrews.
All evenings start at 7:30 pm. Tickets cost $25/night or $70 for all three nights. Society Members are $20/night.
