On Thanksgiving weekend (October 11th & 12th), join the staff of the Abbot on the Hill (1276 Yonge St.) at their Oktoberfest Olympic Fundraiser.
Your $20 brunch or dinner ticket entitles you to admittance (the restaurant will be open only to ticket holders for the weekend), a choice of five authentic traditional Oktoberfest dishes for your meal, door prizes, silent auctions featuring signed paraphernalia from our Olympic athletes, and if you are one of the first fifty in the door you keep your authentic branded glassware.
Proceeds from the two-day event benefit five young ladies from the Women’s Olympic Hockey Team, and one of the Men’s Eight Man Rowing teams. Olympic athletes will be in attendance.
Unlike other Oktoberfests in the province, this will not feature generic lagers from massive corporations, but authentic Oktoberfest and German beers, and traditional Oktoberfest food. The beer line-up will include:
Hacker Pschorr Oktoberfest Marzen (first time in Ontario)
Hacker Pschorr Dunkel Weisse
Konig Ludwig Weisse
Warsteiner Premium Vernum
Warsteiner Dunkel
Tickets must be purchased in advance, and are only available in person at the Abbot on the Hill. Brunch and dinner menus will be announced on September 7th. For more information, contact Adam at adam-onthehill@hotmail.com.
