Here’s a quick round-up of some local beer-related bits that have appeared in print and online in the last couple of weeks:
- Stephen Beaumont has been keeping busy with his World Of Beer website and two different blogs, with recent posts discussing topics such as Samuel Smith’s move from clear to brown bottles, Pete Brown’s book Three Sheets to the Wind, and The Beer Store’s interesting attempt to define Beer Styles.
- Chef & food writer Rheanna Kish reports on a day trip to several Ontario craft breweries.
- Josh Rubin at the Toronto Star has kept up the weekly schedule for his What’s Brewing column, which his latest topics including mini-features on Black Oak Nut Brown Ale and Cameron’s Auburn Ale, as well as a report on Volo Cask Day.
- Back in print after some time off in October is Aonghus Kealy‘s Suds column in the free daily Metro, where he has most recently been writing about his trip to the Guinness brewery and tackling the age old question of where to get the best pint of the black stuff.
