Slow Food Toronto in partnership with Evergreen will be holding a “fun-raising” event on Wednesday, July 12 at the Don Valley Brick Works. Along with fine food from some of Toronto’s top chefs & artisan producers, and wine from Ontario vinters, there will also be beer from local brewers who follow the Slow Food philosophy “to protect the pleasures of the table from the homogenization of modern fast food and life”.

Slow Food’s new initiative is Terra Madre, a world meeting of food communities.
Terra Madre conference (October 26-30, Turin Italy) is a biannual meeting of 5,000 small-enterprise food producers from around the world who grow, create, distribute and promote food in ways that respect the environment and protect the health of consumers.
Proceeds will be donated to Terra Madre delegates.
