In celebration of the summer season, the Prime Pubs chain of Irish-themed restaurants – including Fionn MacCool’s (Toronto), Slainte (Hamilton), Tir Nan Og (Kingston), Darcy McGee’s (Ottawa) & Paddy Flaherty’s (Sarnia) – are holding a wheat beer promotion. The featured beers include Hoegaarden White, Hoegaarden Forbidden Fruit, Hoegaarden Grand Cru, Blanche de Chambly, McAuslan Apricot Wheat, Erdinger and Fruli Strawberry (selection may vary by location). Also available is a summer food menu, including fish & chips in a Hoegaarden batter with orange peel & coriander, crab claws on California slaw with a sweet lemon dressing, and a grilled chicken burger with a wheat beer corn relish.
