Cheese Culture – aka sommelier Tonia Wilson and cheese specialist Julia Rogers – will be hosting a pair of delicious and educational evenings of beer and cheese later this spring:
Belgian-style Beer and Cheese
April 27, 2006, 7 pm
Belgian-style brews feature innovative fermentation processes, and additions of fruit, herbs and spices, resulting in a range of beer flavours, all quite suitable for accompanying Trappist-style, washed-rind cheeses.
British-style Beer and Cheese
May 11, 2006, 7 pm
The traditional pint and ploughman’s lunch of Cheddar, pickles and bread has been England’s favourite pub lunch for hundreds of years, and with good reason. Discover the delicious range of British-style beers and enjoy them in combination with a variety of superb cheeses.
Both classes will take place at Whole Foods Market Yorkville, 87 Avenue Road. Admission to each class is $50, which includes a tasting flight of five beers and five cheeses, instructional materials and tasting notes. For reservations or information, call 416.944.0500
